SENIOR CLASS AWARD
The Lowe's Senior CLASS Award was first established in basketball because of the trend of college players in men’s basketball leaving school early to play professionally. After five successful years of honoring senior basketball players for remaining in school, the award was expanded to several other NCAA sports including men’s hockey.

Hockey is an action-packed, exciting game that has become a very popular collegiate sport, culminating with the NCAA Tournament and the Frozen Four. Senior leaders are important components of successful college hockey teams. The senior student athletes that compete in hockey are not only fierce competitors on the ice, but have shown a history of being solid students and active in their communities.

The second annual hockey winner of the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award will be announced during the Frozen Four weekend. As with basketball, the hockey winner will be selected by a voting system that includes coaches, media, fans and sponsors.
